Simple extrusion of a plot and stacking levels may be the most economic way of multiplying the rare and expensive ground surface but the building always risks to keep the status of an alien within the sourrounding urban fabric! Problems start when the usual circulation stops at the bottom of a tower - why not continuing public space into height? It would permit to increase the accessibility of a tall structure with the benefit of keeping the notion of neighbourhood in a known scale.
